Getting Started with Pocket Tracker

A complete guide to mastering your matches

1. Create Your Free Account

Getting started with Pocket Tracker takes less than a minute. Visit the registration page and create your account using either your email address or Google Sign-In. There is no cost, no trial period, and no premium tier — every feature is available to you immediately.

Once registered, you land on the Home screen — where you track your matches. On phones, a bottom bar gives you one-tap access to the five main areas: Meta, Decks, Home, Battle, and More (settings, leaderboard, and the rest).

2. Track a Match in Seconds

This is the everyday heart of Pocket Tracker, and it's built to be fast. On the Home screen you'll see your selected deck at the top and a grid of opponent archetypes below it, drawn from the current meta. Recording a game takes three taps:

• Pick your deck: Tap your deck at the top of Home to choose which of your decks you're playing (see section 3 to add one).
• Tap the opponent's archetype: Choose the matching deck from the archetype grid. Not sure what they were on? Tap Other. You can filter the grid by energy type to find the right deck faster.
• Finish the match: Mark Win, Loss, or Tie — and optionally add a quick note. That's it; the game is saved.

Every result feeds your win rates, matchup breakdowns, and ranked climb automatically. Because it's this quick, you can log a game between matches without breaking your rhythm — and the more you log, the more useful your stats become.

3. Manage Your Decks

The Decks tab is where you organize every build you play.

• Import decks: Paste your decklist in standard format (the same format Pokemon TCG Pocket and tournament platforms use) and Pocket Tracker parses it automatically. You can also build one card by card.
• Per-deck win rates: Each deck tracks its own record so you can see, at a glance, which builds perform best for you.
• Matchup breakdown: See how each deck does against specific opponent archetypes and spot your good and bad matchups.
• Match history & notes: Browse your complete history filtered by deck, revisit past games, and read the notes you left.
• Share by QR: Export any deck as a QR code you can scan straight into the official app.

4. Your Stats & Ranked Climb

Every match you record builds a clear picture of how you're doing.

• Win rates that update live: Your session, season, and all-time records sit right on the Home screen, alongside per-deck and per-matchup numbers.
• Ranked tracker: Follow your ranked-season points and win-rate trend on a clean progression graph. Use Recalibrate to sync with your in-game rank.
• First/second stats: Optionally track how you perform going first versus second — a simple toggle in Settings.
• Season filtering: Filter your results by season to focus on the current competitive period.

5. Meta Dashboard

The Meta tab gives you a complete overview of the current metagame, powered by real tournament and ranked data.

• Archetype usage: See which decks are popular right now, from tournament results and the live ranked ladder.
• Deck variants: Each archetype breaks down into variants — compare them card by card, with usage and win rates, to find the exact build for you.
• Full decklists: View any variant's complete list, the players who ran it, and their placements.
• Matchup chart: A color-coded archetype-vs-archetype grid makes favorable and unfavorable matchups obvious at a glance.
• Import to My Decks: Found a list you like? Import it to your collection in one tap.

Check the Meta Dashboard before you queue to know what you'll face, or after a session to study the decks that gave you trouble.

6. Battle — Play Full Games in Your Browser

The Battle tab lets you play complete games of Pokemon TCG Pocket right inside Pocket Tracker, powered by a full rules engine.

• Play a friend or a random opponent: Share a private code or get matched with another player.
• Fast games: Skip the animations when you just want to play out lines quickly.
• Replays & analysis: Rewatch any match, or drop into analysis mode to test alternative lines of play.

7. Global Leaderboard

Explore the competitive landscape from the Leaderboard (in the More menu on phones).

• Top players: Browse the world's top tournament players plus the live ranked-season standings.
• Player profiles: Open any player to see their tournament history, placements, and the decklists they used.
• Metagame research: Discover what the best players are running and spot emerging trends.

8. Tournament Companion (NEW)

Link your Limitless account and Pocket Tracker follows your live tournaments in real time — a companion built for tournament day.

• Your next match: See your upcoming opponent, their open decklist, and your table number the moment pairings post.
• Cut advisor: Know exactly where you stand — win-and-in, points needed for Day 2, or when an intentional draw is safe.
• Standings, bracket & field: Live standings with tiebreakers, the top-cut bracket, and the archetypes across the room.
• Round alerts: Get notified when a new round starts, even with the app closed.
• History: Browse all your past tournaments with per-season records, top-cut rate, and your most-played decks.

9. Best-of Match

Best-of Match is built for tournament-style play with open decklists, supporting Best-of-1, Best-of-3, and Best-of-5.

• Enter the opponent's decklist: In open-list formats, paste their list before the match.
• Series tracking: Pocket Tracker tracks wins across the series and shows the current score.
• Per-game hand deduction: Each game gets its own hand-deduction session (see section 10), resetting correctly between games.

10. Advanced: Deck Prediction & Hand Deduction

For players who want to squeeze out every edge, Pocket Tracker includes a live prediction engine. It's entirely optional — the fast tracking flow above needs none of it — but it's powerful when you want a precise read on your opponent.

To use it, turn off Simple mode in Settings to reveal the prediction panels.

Deck prediction

• Log observed cards: As your opponent plays cards, log them. The engine compares them against thousands of tournament decklists and shows probability bars for the most likely lists.
• Narrow it down fast: Just 2–3 distinctive cards often cut the field to a handful of decks; Item and Supporter cards are especially telling.

Hand deduction

• Lock in a list: Pick the identified deck (or enter a known list, e.g. in open-decklist formats).
• Track draws, plays, and shuffles: The engine maintains a live estimate of how likely each card is to be in your opponent's hand right now — so you can play around a key Supporter or count on a threat not being there.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Pocket Tracker

• Log every game: It only takes a few taps, and the more you record, the sharper your win-rate and matchup data become.
• Keep your decks updated: When you tweak a deck, update it here so your tracking stays accurate.
• Review your matchups weekly: Patterns in your matchup data will tell you which decks to keep and which to drop.
• Scout the meta before you queue: A quick look at the Meta Dashboard and Leaderboard shows you what you'll face.
• Turn on prediction for big matches: When a game really matters, the advanced prediction and hand deduction give you an extra edge.
